Revolutionary Researchers 1789-1830
The aim of this network is to bring together doctoral students from different fields who are working on France during the longer revolutionary period of 1789 to 1830. This is a period of intense change in France and it offers a wealth of research opportunities. The network facilitates an exchange of ideas through personal contact, group events such as reading groups, and more structured training days and workshops. In coming together, we work through both practical issues, such as archives, and more theoretical matters, such as the notion of continuity and rupture, indeed, the very notion of ‘revolution’ itself.
